LAST week his side ran riot to the tune of a 47-5 elimination semi-final win over CSU Bathurst, but Orange Emus second grade coach Mitch Dansey is expecting a much tougher time of it against Bathurst Bulldogs on Sunday.

Faced with another must-win clash to keep the greens’ hopes of lower grade glory alive, Dansey believes his team must fire through the middle to challenge the Bulldogs.

“It’s a lot different in terms of style of rugby,” Dansey said comparing last week’s win to the challenge ahead.

“CSU were quiet expansive whereas the Bulldogs will come up at us through the middle.

“I watched their game against Dubbo last week and they’ve got a few handy players in the forwards.”

Dansey was hoping Emus would lift in the face of another elimination game.

“We can only go on last week but I thought the boys aimed up really well,” he said.

“It took us 15 minutes to get our heads into the game but once we did the boys really put it together. I guess you could say we earned the right to score points.”

Emus face Bathurst Bulldogs from 1.30pm at Endeavour Oval.
